Fulfilling the promise
We are Indiana.
We say what we mean and mean what we say.
And when we make a promise, we keep it.
We believe that the wisest among us have an obligation to teach the untested—and that when they do, everyone rises to a higher level.
We believe that learning can happen anywhere and everywhere. So while we expect our students to show up and study hard, we also encourage them to get out in the community and do.
We believe that our community needs us—and that every city, town, and village on the planet is part of our community.
We believe that all of our students can achieve great things, if they put in the work and have the support of people who inspire them.
It’s our job to ensure they never falter.
It’s our job to teach them, to share our wisdom, and to work tirelessly until they have the knowledge and skills they need to fly.
Our students are never daunted. And it's our job to ensure they stay that way. That they try again and again and again until they succeed and the world gains another dreamer, doer, or leader who inspires everyone they meet.
We’ve been preparing extraordinary people for success for almost 200 years. We promise to continue to nurture talent, inspire curiosity, and encourage discovery for at least another 200.
We are tried and true.
